Missionary Consultant Opportunities

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an equipping ministry team to enable leaders at ECWA Hospital Egbe to revitalize the hospital and develop high standards of health care delivery. Consultancy terms are 2+ years.
The hospital complex includes 68 buildings on 33 acres, two reservoirs, four bore holes and 3 large generators. The Maintenance Manager will work with the maintenance staff to implement maintenance standards and schedules, maintain all hospital buildings and equipment, and oversee the electrical and water supply. Many tools, machinery and small equipment have been shipped to Egbe to support the maintenance work, along with two construction vehicles for use by the maintenance and construction team.
Chief Medical Director/Family Doctor
Egbe Hospital offers a Residency Program for Family Practice doctors. The Chief Medical Director/Family Doctor Consultant will support the Nigerian Chief Medical Officer in overseeing the Family Practice Residency Program and all medical staff activities of the hospital. They would be instrumental in assisting with upgrading medical equipment, providing training and staff development, and establishing best practices for patient care programs. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned doctor with a gift for leadership and teaching to have an impact on training and mentoring Nigeria's leading physicians through the Residency Program, and developing partnerships and training opportunities with other teaching facilities.
Director of Administration
Working with the Medical Director, the Director of Administration Consultant would perform a "general manager" role, responsible for the day to day operating and administrative activities. He will work closely with the hospital accountant/auditor and secretary and oversee daily operations that impact administration, staffing, technology, evangelism, facilities management and systems throughout the various departments to bring more accountability and teamwork.
The School of Nursing and School of Midwifery, located on the hospital compound, graduate up to 200 nurses each annually. A Head Nurse Consultant would provide student lectures and training, and mentorship to the Senior Nurse in scheduling, best practices, and modeling Christian witness through compassionate care.
The hospital runs an Eye Center with a dedicated eye operating room and fully equipped examination rooms. The Center offers consultation services, surgical, eye screening and outreach services, and lens implants. The Ophthalmologist will assist in overseeing the Eye Center; give guidance on improvement of eye care delivery, work with the Christian Blind Services to obtain supplies and equipment; and provide instruction and evaluation to Nigerian optometrists and ophthalmologists in training.
